Schedules & More
Wednesday, September 17, 2014

SCHEDULES - Due to several previously unknown conflicts, some games have had to be rescheduled. EVERYONE should check the online schedules to be certain you have the correct and most up-to-date information. Remember, it is your responsibility to always check the online schedules a day or two before each game.

GAME SCORES & RELATED - It has been the York USA league policy for years to maintain a maximum four (4) goal differential in all single game final scores and tie breakers. Thus, a game with a final score of 7 to 2 (a five goal difference) is recorded in the Game Results as a 6 to 2 game (a four goal difference). While the four (4) goal differential applies to the standings calculations, York USA does maintain a record of the actual game scores. This data is used as part of the criteria for determining division bracketing in following seasons. This and other games/rules information is available in both the Coaches Manual and on the website. Coaches, please review these materials AND communicate them with your parents.

Laws of the Game Revisions and Clarifications!
Tuesday, August 31, 2010

York USA recently adopted modified, age appropriate Laws of the Game to govern play in our league while providing reasonable consistency with surrounding leagues (for the purpose of tournament play) and to foster development in accordance to US Youth Soccer guidelines and recommendations. These laws may be down loaded from our Forms page.

  • The size of the penalty area (14 yards) was inadvertently left out of the recently adopted York USA league U10 8v8 Laws. This document has now been revised and re-posted.
  • The York USA Game Standards remain our core set of rules governing play within the league. The new U6 through U10 modified Laws of the Game supercede the Game Standards where there is a difference in the provided guidance.
  • Play in U12 and older travel-level age groups reamain governed by our legacy York USA Game Standards.
  • Play in U12 and older a recreational-level age groups remain governed by our York USA Game Standards except where superceded by our Recreational Soccer Rules.
